Your answers

Your answers to the questions are processed in your browser and are never sent to us, stored by us, or shared with anyone, including advertisers.

Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free service that counts page views in aggregate and does not track you across sites. It never receives your answers.

Advertising

The site currently shows no ads. If that changes, this page will name the provider and what it collects, and where the law requires it you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set. Your answers will still never be sent to an advertiser.

DampOrDust is a general educational decision aid. It is not a home inspection, a safety assessment, a medical diagnosis or building advice. Suggestions are based only on the answers you pick and can't detect hidden water damage, hazards or every possible cause. Don't rely on it to decide whether a home is safe: get qualified help for persistent damp, recurring mould, suspected gas or combustion problems, or health symptoms.

Your answers stay in your browser. Nothing you select is sent to us or to advertisers.
